Meet our doctors
Dr. Meera Sutaria
Practice Director
Dr. Meera Sutaria, board-certified in Virginia, leads InSight Eye Optique with a focus on delivering personalized, family-centered care grounded in the latest optometric advances. Holding memberships in the American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association, and Northern Virginia Optometric Society, she is committed to clinical excellence and patient education.
A proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.S., Biology) and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University (Doctorate of Optometry, with Highest Honors—top 2% of her class), Dr. Sutaria blends academic distinction with compassionate practice.
She specializes in myopia management for children, using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and personalized non-surgical treatment plans. She also performs comprehensive eye exams, manages ocular disease, and expertly fits contact lenses and eyewear. A valued partnership with Treehouse Eyes supports her goal of early intervention to reduce progressive myopia in young patients.
Residing in Northern Virginia for over a decade, Dr. Sutaria is a proud mom of two LCPS students. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys baking and crafting.
Dr. Gargee Patel
Optometrist
Dr. Gargee Patel is a licensed therapeutic optometrist with over a decade of experience providing comprehensive eye care. She specializes in refractive and contact lens services, ocular disease management, and pre- and post-operative surgical coordination. Passionate about pediatric vision care and specialty contact lens fittings, Dr. Patel is committed to helping patients of all ages achieve their best vision.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from James Madison University before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. During her clinical training, Dr. Patel gained diverse experience across ophthalmology and optometry practices, with a strong focus on pediatric eye care, corneal disease, vision therapy, and advanced specialty lens fittings.
Prior to joining Insight Eye Optique, Dr. Patel practiced in both private and large ophthalmology group settings, including the Virginia Eye Institute, where she fit specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus, high ametropia, and ocular surface disease. She has also served patients in Maryland and Virginia as an independent contractor and associate optometrist.
Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She was inducted into the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society in recognition of her leadership and clinical excellence.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Patel enjoys exploring new places, spending time with her family, and staying active.
